Laurent Balmelli

Technology leader who co-founded Strong Network in 2020, creating the first platform for Secure Cloud Development Environments (CDEs) before the company's successful acquisition by Citrix in 2024.

Now driving Citrix's developer platform for cloud-native workloads, focusing on the perfect balance between seamless developer experience and robust security through lightweight virtualization.

Serial entrepreneur with prior success selling Strong Codes to Snapchat in 2016, following 12 years at IBM Research in New York and Tokyo. Based in Switzerland since 2011, with a passion for security, digital life, and privacy topics.

Hugo Flayac

Hugo is a startup founder and technology consultant with over 10 years of experience in academia and industry. After 5 years as a researcher in applied quantum science at EPFL in Switzerland, he transitioned from academia to industry and became an AI team leader.

Hugo had the chance to be involved in dozens of deep learning projects in healthcare, retail, education and banking to facilitate decision making. He’s now back at EPFL on the innovation side to drive Edge AI technology as a game changer towards user & enterprise owned data.

Aziz Belkhiria

Aziz Belkhiria is the Co-Founder and CEO of DPhi Space, a startup dedicated to developing a ridesharing platform for hosted payloads. Previously, Aziz served as the president of the EPFL Spacecraft Team at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, where he successfully led the team to reestablish EPFL’s presence in space, a feat not achieved since the era of SwissCube over a decade ago. Aziz envisions paving the ‘highway to space’ through DPhi Space, aiming to adapt terrestrial technologies for space applications in anticipation of an expanding Earth.

Olivier Crochat

Olivier Crochat is the Executive Director of the Center for Digital Trust (C4DT) at EPFL. Olivier has a strong scientific background (M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Communication Systems) and 25+ years of executive roles in startups, SMEs and large companies. Olivier has an excellent understanding of the ICT domain, where he successfully led several projects from idea to exit.

Lennig Pedron

Lennig Pedron has expertise in cybersecurity and emerging technologies applied to the digital trust economy. She works in particular for the EPFL Innovation Park Foundation and is CEO of the Swiss initiative Trust Valley, the center of excellence in digital trust and cybersecurity. She is co-founder and president of the NGO iCON, representing an international community of over 100 digital trust experts. Lennig Pedron represents iCON at the Council of Europe. She has been Data Protection expert for the Swiss Confederation. She provides advice and training to different audiences such as the police, prosecutors or banks. She has been a judge for the 9/12 geopolitical challenge of the GCSP for 4 years and she has spoken at the Forum of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). Lennig Pedron is the co-author of the book "The Fundamentals of Cyber ​​Crisis Management" published by Ellipses in June 2022.
